Ordinary life, Extraordinary experiences.
This is my continued journey into the unknown. Life throws many things at us, I want to enjoy life to it's fullest.
Every day is special.
Anything can happen. Unleash the impossible.
28th July 2017 was the second nigh of MTV Crashes Plymouth. It was wet and windy but it seemed that didn't matter, the crowd were jumping and I had a great time. Alcohol may have had a little to do with that, and I just danced and enjoyed myself.
My photos didn't come out as great as I had planned, but I was more focused on having a good time. Plus I couldn't have my camera out in the rain too much for fear of damaging it. Hey who am I kidding, the alcohol majorly hindered my photography skills, I have so many blurry photos from the night.
I arrived at the event fairly late, around 7pm because I still had to work in the daytime. The acts started at 5pm, so we did miss Jax Jones and Gordon City. When we arrived R3WIRE & VARSKI were playing, but we didn't get a chance to see much of them. We said hi to some friends and grabbed some drinks. The bars were easier to get to this year. Most drinks were £4.50 for a small bottle. We saw some of Wilkinson play, he ended his set with "afterglow" and that was awesome. I found a phone in the portaloos, but I have managed to return it to the rightful owner.
Then it was time for the act everyone was waiting for, Martin Garrix. For this set the rain started to clear up. He played his fun tunes including "Animals", "Tremor" and "Scared To Be Lonely". The finale had fireworks and streamers! Amazing. I was able to grab some and it's going into my scrapbook along with my entrance ticket.
My night didn't end just yet, me and some friends carried on the night at a club, but Martin Garrix really blew me away and he was the best part of the evening.
I have been to MTV Crashes a few times now, but never on the second night. After my experiences form day 2 2017 I would definitely go again. For the first year 2014 day one, I was right at the front of the crowd and you can see me in some of the promotional pictures. But staying there from 3pm-11pm was tough. It was fun to see Kaiser Chiefs and The 1975, but at the club night with Martin Garrix I had a better more chilled experience. You can see my video from the first year here. I did take some videos this year, but the clips have not come out too great due to the drink and rain.
Thanks for reading.
Let me know what you thought about the night, were you there? Are you going next year?

Not everyone is lucky enough to go on a nice holiday every year. I have been fortunate enough throughout my life to have many wonderful vacations and experiences abroad and in the UK, usually multiple times a year. Lately I have not had so many opportunities to do quite as much travelling as I have in the past due to job commitments, however I am still constantly planning future holidays and excursions, even if only as a dream.
Currently in the works is trip to Orlando, yes I need to go back again! My last trip was in October of 2015, I am sure you will see many posts still popping up from this trip. If you would like to see more please find more posts here. I am hoping to go back when the star wars land has opened. This isn't set to open until 2019. So really we want to go back before then. Occasionally myself and Terry will be talking about Orlando and say "lets do it this year", we then have a look online at the prices, then look at our bank account and the dream dies. We are constantly trying to save up. I am going to be doing a blog about saving tips in the future and will link them.
Me working at Hogwarts (I'm the blonde)
Me and my partner Terry have already decided the things we must do next time we go to Orlando and the things we are happy to miss. As long as we go around Halloween, which I image we shall, we will be attending Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort. This time, we are going to try to attend on multiple nights and I aim to take many more photos and videos, without be so scared. If we are able and have saved enough money we would like to try out Discovery Cove. Volcano Bay is definitely on our to do list along with the usual Disney Parks and Universal Parks. I am excited for Pandora, and look forward to going home to old stomping ground of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. Hogwarts will always be my home.
I have a great appreciation for and interest in Japan. I wouldn't call myself a Japanophile, but I am an aspiring one. I enjoy watching programs about Japan and I have been learning lots about the country over the past couple of years, I have even started to learn the language and was able to use some in a Japanese restaurant recently. (Oishii!) It is a beautiful country but there is so much of it to see. I definitely want to visit the Disney and Universal Parks in Japan. This trip won't be happening for a fair while, but I am still collating every where I would like to visit so I can draw up an literary. You can never do too much research.
My 30th birthday is about 3 years away, and to celebrate I plan to visit California and Las Vagas. I have an idea of how and what I am going to be doing, this is going to be a once in a lifetime trip. Starting in Vegas and then onto San Francisco, followed by a stop off on LA and Anaheim. There is so much to see, so this will be a long trip and a massive celebration of turning 30. It is a dream holiday and I cannot wait to get some serious planning done.
Following my recent trip to Disneyland Paris for Charlottes hen do, I have decided I need to go again. I was not there for long and didn't get to see all of the parks. Plus I went without my partner Terry, and when I returned home and told him about all the star wars attractions and shows, it was decided we must go together. My Dad is also hoping we can all go as a family with my nieces and nephew next year. So it's a definite trip that has to happen. On my recent trip we had such an amazing time, eating an inventions and got some great pictures of the parade. I will post with those pictures soon.
Disney and Universal theme parks are something I love and all the Disney Parks around the globe are on my bucket list. Now this is going to take me a long time, and a lot of saving. I have seen people accomplish this, so why can't I.
My next trip is to London to see the Foo Fighters in September. I have only recently got these tickets so all I have planned is the time off work. We will probably get the coach or train to London and find a cheap hotel near the venue, and I am hoping we will get some time to explore London again.
I used to go to Malaga very regularly, so have explored a lot of the Costa Del Sol. This is because I have family in the area. I visited Fuengirola at the end of June this year, so I will add a new post about this trip soon. It was a lot of fun. We did more active things on this trip and it was so nice to see some of my favourite places and see what has changed since I was last over there.
This year I visited Newcastle for my best friends wedding. It took place in a castle and was a glorious weekend.
I have so many posts to add about the places I have already been, but I really am always planning the next trip. I like to visit somewhere every couple of months, even though Plymouth is lovely and beautiful, I still like to see new places and get out of my city, even if it's just down the road or to a place I never knew was here.
Our first full day in Orlando for this trip was Wednesday 14th October 2015, we spent the morning at at Magic Kingdom, the afternoon in Typhoon Lagoon and our evening at Universal Studios. You can find our video here on youtube or at the end of this photo blog post.
Driving under the Walt Disney World sign gave me such excitement, and when I got into the park I could hardly make proper sentences. For the holiday we hired a car, my partner Terry drove. It took a little while to get used to being on the opposite side of the road, but he picked it up really fast.
We arrived at Magic Kingdom and headed to the Tomorrowland Speedway as we had a fast pass for it. We arrived a little later than we set out to as we needed a lie in after all the travel from the day before, and due to the fast pass Tomorrowland Speedway ended up being our first ride, even though this really wasn't our plan, we rushed over to ride it anyhow. Terry seemed not have any confidence in my driving skills.
Magic Bands were a relatively new thing for our trip, and we decided to try them out. Terry got himself a toy story magic band and I went for a haunted mansion themed one. These are such a great invention and I adore them. They were quite expensive, but totally worth it. It just makes fast passes and getting into the parks so much easier. No need to fiddle about with the park tickets.
Our second fast pass was one of my favourite rides, the Haunted Mansion. Then it was time to head over for the pictures in front of the castle that you have just got to take. This trip was Terrys first time in Florida, and first time at Walt Disney World. So these photos are now a part of our history.

We rode Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin, then grabbed a snack before heading out of the park.
Typhoon Lagoon was our next park for the day. We swam with the fish in shark reef. The water was freezing, but it needed to be for the fish. It was a cool experience.
Typhoon Lagoon gave us a great afternoon, we rode quite a few of the slides and had such a blast in the large wave pool. I had a waterproof case for my phone so I was able to take some videos in and under the water which was so much fun.
After going back to our resort to freshen up, we went to Universal and checked out Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. There was some live music, stilt walkers, lots of food and some great drinks. Lovely atmosphere.
I had a watermelon margarita and the volcano nachos. The nachos was a little bit of a mistake as I wasn't all that hungry! As you can see, the portion size was huge. Needless to say I did not make my way through the whole dish.
Our park tickets allowed us multiple nights entry to Halloween Horror Nights 25. We thought we would make use of them and check it out. I wasn't able to take many photos as I was quick scared, it was my first time and I was worried the scareactors would prey on me if I had my camera out or I was paying attention properly.
We ventured into a couple of houses. Freddy Vs Jason was our first. This frightened me, yet it was cool and interesting. I loved looking into all the details walking through, but was scared so many times by the actors! At one point Freddys glove with all the knives on was right in front of my face and he was just not moving, those second he was in front of me felt so long. I was full of fear, yet so much excitement.
Diagon Alley was open late for Horror Nights, so I was able to get my first glimpse and it was absolutely incredible. The detail was incredible and the dragon was beautiful. We got to ride Gringrotts with no wait, and that rollercoaster was awesome, seeing Bellatrix and Voldermort was epic. Although Forbidden Journey is still my favourite, but that's got a special place in my heart. Gringrotts preshow was interesting, and walking through the bank, seeing all the beautiful details and the goblins was atmospheric.

In October 2015 I visited Orlando and was able to stay in Club La Costa Encantada Resort, near Kissimee in Orlando, Florida. It took about 20-30 minutes to get to the major theme parks. Not long to get onto Disney property at all.
This photo post is an extension to the video with further pictures. If you have any questions about our stay, please feel free to ask.

It was a lovely place to stay, felt like home, but also still had the vacation feel. Perfect.
On this trip, it was only myself and my partner that stayed, so the place really felt huge. Would love to stay there again. Was great that we had all the things we needed.
